It's the great pumpkin, Random Acts!

We've got a new sketch coming out on Thursday, till then we thought we'd post some of our favorite Halloween sketches. Random Acts plays dress up in this very special playlist.

Really Awkward Moments: The Bedroom

Random Acts presents: Really Awkward Moments: Episode 5: The Bedroom

As promised... Random Action ep4

Jeff is assaulted by a lethal luchadore by the name of El Oso. Now in semi-color and with music by The Raveonettes. Enough talk, now is the time for action!

If that didn't make any sense then you might want to watch all four episodes in this handy playlist.

Catch you next week with the return of Really Awkward Moments!

The College Kingdom

Whoa! Fall Break is here and we still kicked out a sketch.

The College Kingdom

Also if what you are looking for is something with a little more action we will be releasing Random Action: Episode Four this week. I know, you haven't seen the first 3 episodes have you? Well here they are in an embedded YouTube Playlist.

New Season!

Don't count Random Acts out yet. We've got a new season and two new sketches already out the door. What's that? You didn't know? Well then you need to join our Facebook group, Random Acts [>Global<], for regular updates.

Oh, and we've taken the plunge and moved our operations from VSocial to YouTube. You can see all our new videos on our YouTube Channel. Or you can sit tight and watch our new sketches right here.

Making Dreams Come True

Well next week is finals week and as such our season is almost over. We'll be back next year with a new cast and new sketches. We might have one more sketch left. We'll just have to see. Thanks for watching and have a great summer.

Isn't that beaver cute?

The Secret History of the Planet Earth

I don't usually post unless we have a new video, but this seems to merit mentioning. There is something weird about TV tonight. Of course, tonight is the annual airing of the 10 Commandments on ABC, so I checked to see what else is on.

First round through the stations; they are mostly movies. E! is airing The Big Lebowski. Family Channel has The Sound of Music. Sci-Fi is showing Pterodactyl with Coolio. Mean Girls is on TBS. Lifetime has Real Women have Curves. Castaway is on TNT.

None of those are terribly significant on their own. It's when it all hits at once that I begin to wonder. I continue my search. Pacers are playing Boston. Bam Margera is getting married on MTV. Animal Planet is going on some prehistoric safari with modern men looking for CG woolly mammoths. Discover Channel, no it can't be, a biography of the iceberg that sank the titanic. Where it came from, why it did what it did, all that.

WAIT! What's this? That's impossible. The History Channel, in all its infinite wisdom, is airing The Planet of the Apes. I'll give you a second to contain yourself. The History Channel, a bastion of historical accuracy, bent on pulling every bit of awesome out of WWII, is presenting The Planet of the Apes. Here's how I see it. Since ABC has Charlton Heston in The 10 Commandments, History thought they should fight fire with fire. Heston vs Heston in a battle for the ages.

I can't pretend to tell you what all this really means. I see it as an omen, a sign of something larger than you, larger than me. Only Heston knows the truth. An anomaly in time/space has placed us in a world were apes have taken over and only the History Channel knows that it was earth all along.

It's a Mad House!

Snowed In

A snowstorm takes school out indefinitely. No classes means no rules.

Tune in next time for more Random Acts

The Serenade

A young suitor sings a sweet song to a sorority sister and finds a whole new world instead.

Thanks for all the good words everybody. We've been getting a lot of good feedback this season and it means a lot to all of us.

Faceybook Newsfeed

So a certain social networking site aimed at college students has added a new feature allowing you to know everything about your friends as it happens. Faceybook as we see it has gone too far.

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

This is the first sketch of the new season. Hope you dig it.

ps: For nostalgia and archival purposes we've put up two old sketches; Monster in the Stall and Roofie. Freshman year was weird.

Re-Introduction

We have a new cast this semester so we created a new introduction video. We won't be airing our show on TV anymore, but we kept up the tradition of raising the bar anyway. It is (I did the math, trust me.) 100 times more complicated than the last intro. Hope you dig it.

Music by Coconut Monkeyrocket, they're down with the CC too.

Addendum: I've gotten some requests for a hi-res version of the comic. So here are two wallpapers for the fans.

Season 2: Game Over

Well we finished season 2 with 3 full episodes but finals created a crunch and 2 videos where never uploaded when the 4th wasn't finished.
Here they are now.
Really Awkward Moments 4
Tuition Trouble

Thanks for a great season everybody.

ps: check out the awesome archive at the bottom with direct links to all our videos

[edit] While I'm cleaning house, I should post these 3 music videos made by members of the Random Acts crew for their real classes. Iris | Secret Origins | I'll Follow You | [/edit]

Welcome Back

Whats happenin' everybody?
We're back on the air for a new semester an a new season. We've got big plans ahead.
Coming soon we will have new video hosting on our school's server space and a new service called BUtube, highlighting all the great content generated by Butler students.
We've got a new cast with 16 people, so we've decided to start trying to release one new video a week, instead of our old episodic format. Speaking of episodes, there are two parts left in our nerf action adventure, "Random Action" so stay tuned for the thrilling conclusion.

I hope you like our new style,
Ewzzy

New Season

With the opening of this 2nd season of the newly re-christened "Random Acts" here on the Butler campus, I'm also opening this blog. Hopefully I'll be posting news about new episodes, downloadable content, and well thats about it. Heres the first bit of news:

Our first episode will be debuting in 2 weeks. Hopefully. Our campus' TV station lost it's software that lets them broadcast. With any luck it will be broadcast on both our channel 65 and on the web. We'll keep you posted for more details.
